    I remember going to the Honda shop in Kansas City and seeing rows of CB 750s lined up in the shop . It was an amazing sight , just as it would be 50 years later !

    I wonder if any EXPERIENCED motorcycle techs could comment 💭 on longevity of 2 vs 4 strokes - like how many miles max have you seen on either ? Also most 2s were air cooled longevity on those vs the far less common water-cooled (usually multi cylinder) 2 stroke "super bikes" like the Suzuki GT750 'water buffalo' ?

    You've gotta give Suzuki Motor Co credit, they come out with unique offerings ! This GT750 was definitely one. My 1986 Samurai 4x4 was truly a crazy fun little Ute turned rock crawler. I also enjoyed my 1987 "Quadzilla" LT500 Quadracer a single cylinder 500cc water-cooled "Thumper" a real torque monster. This was the quad they stopped making as they were deemed too powerful & fast to be safely ridden. I agree it was gnarly beast with more horsepower than chassis lol. Now I enjoy my Suzuki V-Strom DL 650 Adventure Touring bike as much as those prior rigs !

    Sadly, these venerable & utterly HIP Zukis were overshadowed by the more popular Honda 750-Four (for 4 Stroke). I didnt have either but saw plenty of them on the streets of my hometown San Diego thru the mid late 90s. They look just awesome - Im a BIG Suzuki fan - and will watch raptly. I rock a 2008 V-Strom DL650 currently - I truly believe that the wizards at Suzuki have managed to take the collected virtues of my dozen odd bikes Ive owned since age 13 (Im 60 now) and rolled them into one practical & outrageously fun ride ! Thanks for posting this - David in Texas

    We put multiple different Kawi 2 stroke triples to the test in the '80's. You had to know how to wrench to keep them on the road and how to ride to minimum crashes which are sure to occur.

    A 13 second bike and in its time would have just destroyed any muscle car and most bikes.Way better than the Kawasaki though not as quick.

    The USA had the KH 350 KH 400 , KH500 and the holy grail the death trap KH750 . The KH400 was better than the KH350 and almost as much power as the KH500 that was dropped later . But the KH750 was not matched in being quick . They was known to break chains and in some cases when the engines was mod out to the max for drag rasing the swing arms would bend . That is the reason why they was call the widow maker . It took a long time for other brands to catch up and they would not have done that with out super charges or twin turbo's in a four stroke engine .

    Nice video! I actively ride my GT750 probably once a week on average for a small ride. It is no museum piece but I love it and it is reliable. Long live the GT!

    Interestingly, it's not the modern 1000RR Fireblade that continues that heritage of being light and nimble yet powerful but the Suzuki's GSX-R 750. I can't imagine anything closer to original 900RR Fireblade concept and idea than the modern GSX-R 750.
